MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's soccer newcomer Sascha Nielsen has been selected as the nominee of the Sports Talent of the Year Award in Svendborg, Denmark.
The Sports Talent of the Year accolade is awarded to recognize the top sports performance of the previous year in Svendborg. Out of 60,000 citizens, Nielsen was selected as the nominee for this award.
"This is a really honorable award for me, and I am so proud to even be nominated," said Nielsen. "I was nominated among two other talented athletes who had made some great results, so it was a big surprise for me that I won.
