While it was a team effort that propelled MTSU's women (4-5) to an exhilarating 71-52 triumph at Missouri State, Ty Petty and Abbey Sissom were a two-guard wrecking crew.
Petty scorched the nets for a game-high 21 points, while Sissom added 17 points. It wasn't just their scoring that propelled the Lady Raiders; however, as their passing and defense were also on point.
Sissom finished with a career-high eight assists and also tied her career high with six rebounds, while Petty dished out six helpers to continue her ascent up the career ladder. With her six assists against Missouri State, Petty collected her 405th career helper to move past Kim Webb and Sherry Smith into seventh place on the career assists lists.
