MTSU's women completed a pivotal road sweep on Saturday night, blowing out to a huge lead before pulling out an 83-81 victory.
The Lady Raiders improved to 16-8 overall and 11-2 in Conference USA play to remain in first place, but the victory came with much drama. Charlotte dropped to 17-7 9-4.
"What a gutsy win for our team on the road against an outstanding Charlotte team," MTSU coach Rick Insell said. "It's not me. It's those young ladies that put on the Lady Raider uniform and represent it with pride and class. These young ladies certainly make our University proud.
