MTSU will play six home football games in 2017, including its season opener at Floyd Stadium on Sept. 2 against Vanderbilt as announced by Conference USA and university athletic director Chris Massaro on Thursday.
The Blue Raiders will also host Bowling Green in a non-conference game on Sept. 23 after playing road non-league games at Syracuse (Sept. 9) and Minnesota (Sept 17).
Conference USA will welcome back UAB to the league in 2017 as well, giving each division seven teams. The East Division will consist of MTSU, Charlotte, FIU, FAU, Marshall, Old Dominion and Western Kentucky, while the West will be made of Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTEP and UTSA.
