MTSU men crush Vanderbilt 71-48

MTSU men's basketball (9-1) got its second win over a Southeastern Conference opponent in eight days Thursday with a 71-48 home thumping over Vanderbilt (5-5) before a crowd of 9,609 at Murphy Center.

It was the seventh win in a row for the Blue Raiders, who have not lost since their Nov. 19 contest against Tennessee State. They whipping Ole Miss 77-62 on the road last week.

"I want to be complimentary to our crowd; it was a great home court advantage tonight," MTSU head coach Kermit Davis said. "It was a good win for us."

MTSU brought its A-game defensively from the start.
