MTSU has added Tennessee State to its 2019 home football schedule as announced by Director of Athletics Chris Massaro on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders and Tigers will meet on Sept. 7, 2019 at Floyd Stadium. It will mark the first meeting between the two neighboring schools since 1998. MTSU won that game, 28-27, before a record crowd of over 27,000 at Floyd Stadium in the Blue Raiders' final year of I-AA competition.
"We have been trying to schedule this game for a few years but working through dates, our change in conferences and their commitment to various classics made it difficult," said Massaro.
