MTSU football team looks to rebound against Syracuse

MTSU's football team is coming off a disappointing performance in a 28-6 season-opening loss at home to Vanderbilt, but it won't get any easier on Saturday.

The Blue Raiders now go on the road for the first time this season to face Syracuse, a 50-7 winner over Central Connecticut State and a 10-pointer favorite. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

"Looking at Syracuse, it's another really good football team," said MTSU coach Rick Stockstill. "They finished last year in a shootout with Pittsburgh in the last game and got beat 76-61, so they scored 61 points in their last game and they scored 50 last week in their opener.
