The Blue Raiders turned the trick yet again, winning their fourth game over an ACC foe on Saturday with a stunning 30-23 victory at Syracuse. The Blue Raiders have now beaten Syracuse, Maryland twice and Georgia Tech under head coach Rick Stockstill.
My thing is how in the heck did MTSU accomplish the feat?
The Blue Raiders had no running game to speak of, three first-quarter turnovers and more than 100 yards in penalties, some of which were silly to put it mildly.
Well, if you want to give credit where credit is due, start with the much-maligned defense that got a key stop as the game was winding down to preserve the victory.
