HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Blue Raider men's and women's cross-country teams competed Friday morning at the NCAA South Regionals held in Huntsville at the John Hunt Cross Country Course. The women finished in ninth and the men had a couple of top-30 finishes.
The women took ninth as a team on Friday, placing ahead of six top-15 teams in the South region. Freshman Agnes Chepkurui led the way in just her second meet with the Blue Raiders, placing 48th with a personal-best time of 21:05.1.
The freshmen impressed for the women, but the biggest story being freshman Agnes Chepkurui competing in her first collegiate meet on a championship stage and earning Second Team All-Conference USA to go along with Freshman of the Meet honors.
