After a sluggish start to the season, the MTSU baseball team bounced back with two solid wins this weekend in the Mule Mix Classic.
The Blue Raiders beat Northwestern 11-4 on Friday and followed it up with a 20-8 smashing of Bowling Green on Saturday at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
The Blue Raiders had gone 1-3 in their first three games, dropping two one-run affairs, before evening their record at 3-3 going into Sunday's home game against Missouri State.
MTSU fell behind 3-0 against Northwestern going into the bottom of the fourth inning, but came off the deck with eight runs in the home half of the inning to take control.
