The offensive juggernaut that has become MTSU baseball continued its ambush of opposing pitchers in a 13-3 thrashing of UAB Saturday.
MTSU (19-17, 7-8) won its fifth straight and completed its first C-USA sweep since breaking out the broom against WKU, May 1-3, 2015. The Blue Raiders improved to 5-2 on their current eight-game homestand with an offensive flair for the dramatic.
The Blue Raiders had scored double digits in four games all season prior to the current homestand, but they have erupted for five straight games with 10 runs or more and are averaging 13.8 runs per game on the homestand.
