MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — With a tough stretch of nonconference opponents upcoming, Middle Tennessee's streak-breaking blowout win Tuesday set the Blue Raiders back on the right path.
They went into the night losers of five in a row after starting the season with three straight wins. Columbia International (5-4), an NAIA program, didn't have enough firepower to hand MT (4-5) a sixth straight defeat, though.
The Blue Raiders raced to an early 11-0 lead and never looked back, winning 86-38.
"It was a nice win for our team," MT head coach Nick McDevitt said.
