Conway, S.C. – The Middle Tennessee baseball team dropped the opening game of a three game series to Coastal Carolina, 13-6. Despite a two home run night from Jacob Williams, the Blue Raiders (4-9, C-USA 0-0) couldn't overcome a six run bottom of the fifth inning as the Chanticleers (9-4, Sun Belt 0-0) collected four hits and a pair of walks.
The Blue Raiders found themselves in an early 3-0 hole as starting pitcher Aaron Brown allowed back-to-back home runs to the heart of the Chanticleer order. The junior left the game after 3.
