NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee volleyball team opened the Bruins Showcase falling in three set matches to both Idaho State and UT Arlington.
The Bengals came out strong in the first two sets to build sturdy leads that MT was unable to recover from (25-17, 25-9). In the third and final set, the Blue Raiders fought hard to tie the set (16-16) with a service ace from senior Sloan Sullivan. However, MT was unable to recover from a 7-2 Idaho State run to fall in the final frame, 25-20.
In the second match of the day, the Blue Raiders remained competitive in the first set before dropping the first frame to the Mavericks, 25-14.
