MT eight strokes off pace at Reynolds Lake Oconee

EATONTON, Ga. – Middle Tennessee sits in the middle of the pack after 18 holes at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, turning in a 17-over par 305 in the opening round of its spring season.

The Blue Raiders are just eight strokes off the pace set by team leader and tournament host Mercer with 36 holes still to play over the weekend.

"I thought we had a lot of positives out there today, but we're definitely shaking off the rust a little bit still," Head Coach Chris Adams said. "We had a few mistakes here and there that cost us several strokes, so if we can just eliminate some of those we have a great chance of improving and moving up the leaderboard the next two days.
