MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After winning four sets this weekend in singles action at the MT Shootout, Middle Tennessee sophomore Luis Morillo Diaz was named Conference USA's Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
"Luis had a great fall and started off the spring season with a couple of tough matches where things didn't go his way, but he kept on doing his thing in practice," MT assistant coach Daniel Leitner said of Morillo. "He's so tough in the matches; he competes so hard. This is just the hard work paying off for him.
