MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis was recognized once again for its well-rounded 2018-19 success, as junior Tom Moonen has received the Air Force Reserve Spring Spirit of Service Award, Conference USA announced Thursday.
Outstanding community service, academic standing and athletic achievements all play a role in the student athletes chosen as recipients of the Spirit of Service Award. It is presented three times every year, with the spring honorees representing the following sports: baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, men's and women's outdoor track and men's and women's tennis.
Moonen, one of 14 honorees, was a key piece in the Blue Raiders' C-USA championship run in 2019.
