Former Smyrna girls basketball coach Shawn Middleton was named Siegel's new girls basketball coach on Wednesday.
Middleton follows Alan Bush, the schools first and only girls coach, who resigned earlier this year.
Middleton, who was at Smyrna High School for 18 years, coached many sports, including football, girls and boys basketball, softball and baseball. Last year, he was an assistant boys coach at Siegel under first-year coach Dyron Birdwell.
