Middle Tennessee’s six-game win streak halted in 7-2 loss at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Middle Tennessee's (29-21, 17-10 C-USA) six-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday evening at Hawkins Field. Vanderbilt (35-16, 14-13 SEC) rode a pair of two-out extra base hits in a big fourth inning to a 7-2 win over the Blue Raiders in MT's final midweek game of the season.

"There were a few innings that we gave them three or four outs," said Middle Tennessee Head Coach Jim Toman. "I think the speed of the game got to us a little bit. That was the first time we've seen that type of speed this year.
