MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball (11-14) split its final day of play in the MTSU Invitational as the Blue Raiders earned their second shutout of the season against Illinois State 3-0, and then finished the day falling 3-1 in their finale against the Chattanooga Mocs at Blue Raider Softball Field.

The Blue Raiders started the day off strong. Both sides recorded a pair of hits but remained locked in a scoreless battle through the first four innings of play.
In the fifth, sophomore connected on a one-out double into right field after a Blue Raider strikeout to get a runner in scoring position and looking to break the stalemate.
