HOUSTON– No. 39 Middle Tennessee advanced to the semifinals of the Conference USA Championship for the third consecutive year, and on Saturday the Blue Raiders fell to 3-seed FAU, 4-1.
Tom Moonen and Chris Edge started the match with a 6-3 victory at No. 1, but the Owls took a 6-4 win at No. 3 then clinched the doubles point with a win on court two in a tiebreak.
FAU then extended its lead to 2-0 after winning by a score of 6-2, 6-2 at the top spot in the lineup.
