TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the third meet of the 2017 season, the No. 22 Middle Tennessee men's cross country team finished first. The squad bested the deep field at the Crimson Classic hosted by Alabama. The men were led by Jacob Choge's first place overall finish. The women's team finished 18th at the event.
Choge beat out the over 250 other runners on his way to a personal-best 23:22.3 in the 8k event. He finished more than four seconds ahead of the second place finisher, Vincent Kiprop from Alabama.
Kigen Chemadi came in seventh with a time 24:06.
