Lady Raiders win before big crowd on Education Day

When MTSU senior Brea Edwards eventually took over, it was all over for Missouri State Thursday morning at Education Day at Murphy Center.

With 11, 411 fans (the majority City Schools students) -- the second largest women's crowd ever at Murphy Center -- looking on, Edwards broke open a four-point game with 4:02 left by scoring 10 unanswered points in less than two minutes to help lift MTSU to a 70-54 victory.

Edwards with 29 points on 11 of 21 shooting while hitting four 3-pointers.

MTSU (5-4) trailed 46-45 after the third quarter before holding Missouri State to just eight points in the final 10 minutes.
