MTSU's women earned a quintessential team victory on Saturday evening at Murphy Center, rallying from eight points down in the second half to defeat Western Kentucky 83-75 before a crowd of 5,125.
In a game of spurts and ebbs and flows, the Lady Raiders (13-7, 7-2) had the most important spurt as they outscored WKU (17-3, 8-1) 19-10 in the final 5:21 of the game to end the Hilltoppers' 14-game winning streak.
"It was a heck a heck of a game, they're a good team," said MTSU coach Rick Insell. "I'm really proud of our young ladies.
