NASHVILLE – Middle Tennessee and Belmont, two teams picked to finish amongst the top of their respective conferences, staged a strong battle but the Bruins essentially pulled away in the latter stages to take a 68-57 win here Saturday afternoon.
Anastasia Hayes continued her strong campaign with 18 points and six assists with just one turnover in 36 minutes of play. The sophomore transfer has scored double figures in every game of her Lady Raider career.
Freshman Courtney Whitson was the only other Lady Raider in double figures, finishing with 12 points and six rebounds in just 24 minutes of action before fouling out.
