IRVING, Texas – Two Middle Tennessee men's track & field athletes were honored in the first Conference USA Outdoor Player of the Week awards as announced by the conference office today.
John Ampomah, the reigning C-USA Male Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year, was selected as the C-USA Male Field Athlete of the Week, while newcomer Sampson Laari was selected as the C-USA Co-Male Track Athlete of the Week.
"John Ampomah started this year better than last year, so it was a good start to his season," said associate head coach .
