DALLAS – The conference office has announced Thursday afternoon that graduate student Abigail Kwarteng has been named the 2022 Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Year, as voted by the conference's coaches.
Kwarteng joined the Blue Raiders with one outdoor season left of eligibility and made the most of it quickly. The Ghana native racked up many accomplishments throughout the last couple months but was able to top it off as the national runner-up and First Team All-American in the high jump.
Although she could spread to triple jump and long jump, she rose above everyone else in conference when it came to the high jump.
