MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Blue Raider men's hoops standout Nick King reeled in yet another award this week as the Tennessee Sports Writers Association named him its Player of the Year.
The accolade honors the top men's basketball player in the state of Tennessee this season regardless of division and is awarded based on media votes from across the state. King is the second Blue Raider in a row to win the award, following 2017 winner JaCorey Williams.
King averaged 21.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and two assists per game in his lone season at Middle Tennessee, posting 32 double-digit scoring games with 19 outings of 20 points or more while collecting 11 double-doubles on the season.
