Regardless of records, the Battle of the 'Boro is Murfreesboro's most exciting high school football rivalry.
The intensity will be heightened even more Friday night, however, when No. 1 and undefeated Oakland (3-0) plays host to undefeated Riverdale (4-0) in the Kia of Murfreesboro Game of the Week.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Oakland's Ray Hughes Stadium.
"I remember last year they gave us fits," Oakland coach Kevin Creasy said. "We weren't looking forward to playing them again in the playoffs. We know we're going to get their best effort.
"The kids on both sides understand the rivalry and everybody in the town's eyes are going to be on them.
