MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee pitcher Zach Keenan was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for his two appearances this past week. The junior right-hander showed his versatility for the Blue Raiders, earning a win in a start against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies and a save to complete the three-game sweep of Bowling Green.
Keenan threw five shutout innings against Oakland on Tuesday, compiling seven punch outs to no walks and allowed just one unearned run. On Sunday, Keenan came on in the seventh inning and picked up a three-inning save, sitting five Bowling Green Falcons down on strikes with no walks and allowing just two hits.
