MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee has been picked to finish in the Conference USA Preseason Baseball poll, as selected by the league's 12 head coaches.
Blue Raider junior outfielder Brad Jarreau was named to the Preseason All-Conference team. He was one of four outfielders chosen and the only Middle Tennessee player selected.
Rice was the unanimous choice as the preseason favorite for the second straight year. Florida Atlantic and Southern Miss were picked second and third, respectively.
Middle Tennessee lost seven starting position players, its ace and top four pitchers out of the bullpen from its 2015 team, so Blue Raider Head Coach Jim McGuire wasn't surprised his team was picked in the middle of the pack.
