MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team while seven Blue Raiders were named Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced Thursday.
Lee Barnard, Zani Barnard, Lidia Burrows, Marta Peris Herrero, Costanza Magazzini, Kim Kermet and Marialuisa Zirilli earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, which is given to student-athletes who posted a GPA of 3.50 or better while earning a varsity letter.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is awarded to any program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.
