Siegel soccer standout Janie Hopper wrote her name in the school's record books Friday, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer - surpassing Brittney Winn's 61 career goals record.
The senior tied the record in the second half Friday against Stewarts Creek, giving Siegel a 2-0 lead. A few minutes later, Hopper rewrote history with her 62nd career goal - giving Siegel a 3-0 lead.
"Janie out ran the defenders and just put the ball in the net," Siegel coach Michael McGoffin said. "Janie just works harder than the rest. It's so great for her, we had the stands full with all of the kids and parents watching.
