MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee junior guard Anastasia Hayes has been named a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, Her Hoop Stats announced today.
Hayes is one of 10 semifinalists for the honor. This year's list of semifinalists includes representation from 10 teams and eight conferences. The Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year is presented by Her Hoop Stats.
The nation's leading scorer with 28.2 points per game, Hayes is turning in one the best seasons of any player nationally, ranking in the Top 15 of eight categories in Division I women's basketball, including points, field goals made, free throws made, assists and steals.
