AMES, Iowa – Junior Abike Egbeniyi recorded a first place finish and a personal best in her respective event at the Iowa State Classic this weekend.
Egbeniyi crossed the line with a time of 52.64 in the women's 400-meter event to improve her time by 1.21 seconds. The junior ranks ninth in the nation in the 400-meter event.
Similarly, Kigen Chemadi (4:01.13) and Jacob Choge (4:04.25) inked new personal bests in the men's one-mile run to post a second and seventh place finish, respectively.
Agnes Abu rounded off the field recording a fourth place finish in the women's 800-meter event with a time of 2:05.
