MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee senior guard Brea Edwards has been named C-USA Player of the Week after helping the Blue Raiders to a pair of league wins last week. Edwards joins LA Tech's Brandi Wingate as the only three-time recipients of the award this year.
Edwards nearly averaged a double-double with 23.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in victories over Marshall and red-hot WKU. The Rockford, Ill., native was a force against the Hilltoppers as she scored a game-high 29 points and pulled a season-high 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.
