MIAMI, Fla. – Before you could blink, the Middle Tennessee women's soccer team took the lead against Florida International. Before you could blink a couple more times, the Raiders were up 3-0, giving them plenty of cushion as they held onto win by that score, Friday night in Miami.
The Blue Raiders improve to 2-2 this season, all of which has been Conference USA action, while the Panthers fall to 3-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
MTSU had the advantage where it counted, but the rest of the match was relatively even as the Raiders outshot the Panthers 9-8, 5-3 on shots on goal while FIU had four corner kicks to the Middle Tennessee's three.
