LYNCHBURG -- Eagleville (5-1, 2-1) defeated Moore Couny in convincing fashion, 41-7, over old district foe Moore County (4-2, 1-1) on Friday night.
The Eagles scored on six of their first seven possessions.
"Everybody did their job tonight," Eagleville coach Floyd Walker said. "Our kids played with a purpose tonight."
Senior quarterback Ethan Cobb tallied the first two scores for the Eagles on ground from 18 and 24 yards out, respectively. Cobb connected for his third and final touchdown of the evening with Trevor Griffin from 29 yards away on fourth and long.
