Eagleville drops 29-21 region game at Lewis County

HOHENWALD -- Eagleville (3-1, 1-1) dropped its first game of the 2017 season Friday night, 29-21, to region foe Lewis County (4-0, 2-0).

Lewis County scored on five of its last seven drives, including a 19-yard touchdown from junior quarterback Denton Webb to senior receiver Branton Sharp on fourth and long to give the Panthers an eight-point lead with under seven minutes to play.

Following a turnover on downs, Eagleville forced a three-and-out and the ball back on their its own 4 with under three minutes to play. Junior quarterback Ethan Cobb passed and ran his way down to the Lewis County 36, leaving for a final heave with eight seconds to play that was eventually batted down.
