Murfreesboro, Tenn. — If you had to pick just one word to sum up how the Middle Tennessee softball team feels about the upcoming 2023 campaign, most anyone within and surrounding the program would probably tell you that word is "eager."
Following a 2022 campaign in which the Blue Raiders struggled to establish an identity on the diamond, losing some key players from the previous year's graduating class, Head Coach Jeff Breeden's squad featured a huge chunk of newcomers that didn't have much experience at the collegiate level.
Back this year are a majority of those players, now with at least one full season of experience under their belt, along with what looks to be some key pieces to the puzzle gained in the transfer portal that should help MTSU quickly establish its identity on the diamond and see vast improvements in 2023.
