The career milestone was terrific, but the current results were most important for MTSU men's basketball coach Kermit Davis and his Blue Raiders last week.
Playing its first Conference USA road swing of the season, MTSU achieved a difficult grind-it-out sweep with victories at Charlotte (73-72) and Old Dominion (64-61) to move to 12-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.
In the victory over ODU, Davis earned his 400th overall win as a head coach.
"I'm so fortunate to have coached at a lot of good places," Davis said. "I've had great athletic directors and great presidents to work for and great players and great coaches.
