MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee senior defensive back has been named to the Jim Thorpe Award 2016 Preseason Watch List, announced by the Jim Thorpe Award Committee today.
Cutrer, a native of New Orleans, is one of 39 players on the list which recognizes the top defensive backs in the nation. Players from 10 different conferences complete this year's initial watch list.
Cutrer was voted second-team All Conference- USA in 2015. He played in 10 games and earned nine starts while finishing the season with 31 tackles. He finished with three interceptions and a team-high 13 pass break-ups.
