IRVING, Texas – For the second time this season, Jacob Choge has been named C-USA Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Choge finished first in the Crimson Classic hosted by Alabama on Friday, Oct.13, beating out over 220 other runners. He ran a personal-best time of 23:22.3 in the 8k, four seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
His first place finish boosted the No. 22 men's team to a first place finish as well. The Blue Raiders beat out many of the other top teams in the region for the title including SEC schools Alabama, Auburn, and Texas A&M.
