SMYRNA -- After a rain delay that pushed the game over night, Central Magnet began the second half of the game in the top of the seventh inning with bases loaded and a full count to Hunter Jones against Milan in an elimination game in the Class AA state baseball tournament Friday.
A strikeout, pitching change and a fly out bailed the Bulldogs out, they went on to beat the Tigers 5-4.
Milan led off the bottom of the inning with a walk, followed by back-to-back bunts and a throwing error to give the Bulldogs the 5-4 victory.
