DALLAS - Conference USA on Monday announced its women's golf All-Academic teams, with Sophie Burks of Middle Tennessee earning second team honors. This is the second straight year Burks has been named C-USA All-Academic.
"Sophie has been a model student-athlete both on the course and in the classroom," head coach Chris Adams said. "We are so proud to have someone on our team who stands out among the many deserving student-athletes in Conference USA."
Burks sports a 3.8 GPA and earned a degree in exercise science in May. She has landed on the Dean's List every semester at MT and is a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar, four-time C-USA Academic Medal Winner, 2021 C-USA All-Academic selection and a member of both the Phi Kappa Phi and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Societies.
