DALLAS, Texas – Blue Raider graduate student Sophie Burks has been named the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday. Burks set a Middle Tennessee record with a 54-hole score of 205 (68-68-69) at the USA Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama over the weekend. The Montgomery, Alabama, native tied for third place at -11 in the tournament held at Mobile's Magnolia Grove Crossing Golf Course.
In addition to her program record-setting tournament score, each of Burks' individual rounds made their marks on the Blue Raider record book.
