Bulle first Blue Raider to make cut at major

SOUTHPORT, Lancashire, U.K. – Former Middle Tennessee golfer Kent Bulle has accomplished a first for former Blue Raider golfers.

With a 2-over 72 Friday in the second round of The 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, Bulle became the first former MT golfer to make the cut at a major tournament. He's even for the championship and tied for 10th overall following a 2-under 68 in the first round Thursday.

It was off the tee box where he did a lot of damage through the first two rounds. He's currently leading the players who made the cut with an average driving distance of 316 yards, and his 336-yard smash on the par-5 15th hole is the longest of the tournament so far.
