MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee senior linebacker Khalil Brooks has been named to the 2019 C-USA Football All-Academic Team as announced by the league office Thursday.
Brooks, a team captain and a preseason all-conference selection, ended his career ranked fourth all-time in quarterback sacks at Middle Tennessee with 17.0 and third in tackles for loss with 38.0. In 2019, he finished third on the team in tackles with 63 to go with 4.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks and four pass breakups.
Brooks, who has a 3.518 GPA in Leisure Sport & Tourism, had his undergraduate degree before he took his first snap this season as a senior.
