The Atlanta Braves took MTSU senior shortstop Riley Delgado in the ninth round with the 260th pick in the MLB Draft Tuesday afternoon.
Delgado is the fifth Blue Raider all-time to be selected by the Atlanta Braves organization and the highest MTSU player to be drafted by the Braves.
Delgado is the first Blue Raider to be selected in the Top 10 rounds of the MLB Draft since 2015 when Ronnie Jebavy was picked in the fifth round by the San Francisco Giants. He is also one of five Blue Raiders to be selected in the Top 10 rounds since 2005.
