MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Fresh off one of the best men's tennis seasons in program history, head coach Jimmy Borendame has agreed to a new five-year contract extension, as announced by Director of Athletics Chris Massaro Thursday.
Borendame, who was named ITA Ohio Valley and Conference USA Coach of the Year, guided the Blue Raiders to their third straight C-USA Championship and a 28-5 record in 2021-22. The 28 wins were the most in program history and Middle Tennessee also fashioned its best record in its rich men's tennis history.
"Our tennis program has a national presence under Jimmy, so we are pleased to have him leading our program for the foreseeable future," said Chris Massaro, director of athletics at Middle Tennessee.
